History

ABOUT THE COMPANY

Originally founded in 1964 by the Hoffman Corporation of Boston, Landlubber jeans were the jeans to wear in the 60s and 70s. The brand had a brief revival in the 1990s, and now in 2019 they’re back for good.

David Douenias is the new head of Landlubber Jeans. He has been involved in fashion for over 20 years. An owner of wholesale and retail embroidery shops in Miami and Brooklyn, David has worked with some of the most well known brands in the US. David believes the future of fashion is to make clients feel they’re getting a “one-off piece” that is unique to them and them alone.

When it comes to embroidery, David specializes in custom designs. Gone are the days of simply stitching butterflies and tigers into a pair of pants or a hat. David understands that nowadays clients don’t want something that just suits their taste—they want something that screams this is me. They want items that are as individual and custom to them as a fingerprint: one-of-a-kind and self-identifying. David knows that fashion can achieve exactly that.

With Landlubber Jeans, David plans to bring his passion for unique, customized fashion to the world of denim. Whether your style is sleek and business-like, casual and relaxed, or hip and artsy, Landlubber is guaranteed to have a fit for you. The tight hip-hugging top and flared bottoms flatter all shapes and sizes, creating groovy, sexy looks perfect for day or night.

We have vintage denim skirts, tie dye t-shirts and vintage jeans. When you put on a pair of Landlubber jeans, you’re putting on a piece of history. And we all learn from history, right? Landlubber’s history teaches us that some fashion items never go out of style. Get your pair today and see why.
